LEVEL 1 | Begin Your Journey to Master the Art of Applied Role-Playing Games November 1, 2025 | 10am-5pm MT (9am-4pm PT) Livestream | $325This seven-hour training consists of a general survey of the relevant literature and grounding theory of this intervention, an introduction into the specific foundation and theory of the Game to Grow Method of Therapeutically Applied Role-Playing Games (TA-RPG), as well as facilitation tips and session structure guidelines. At the end of this training, you will have the foundational knowledge in the Game to Grow Method and will be able to communicate effectively with parents, clients, and administrators about the benefits and potential risks of Therapeutically Applied Role-Playing Games. There will be a one-hour break mid-session. What comes after Level One? To complete your certification in the Game to Grow Method of TA-RPG and become a Certified Game to Grow Therapeutic Game Master, you must complete the following requirements within a period of five years: - Successfully complete the level one, two, and three trainings in the Mental Health Professionals track.
- Following your completion of the level three training, participate in 10 sessions of a professional consultation group. You must be running a TA-RPG group during at least 8 of these sessions.
- Submit a narrative self-reflection about your strengths and challenges as a therapeutic GM.
- Complete a one-on-one consultation session with your group consultation facilitator.
