Intended Audience:Individuals and providers looking to learn more about the Autistic perspective

Learning Objectives:

  • Identify ASD traits commonly found in children and explain how they can present in the ASD adult
  • Demonstrate an understanding and appreciation of some behaviors commonly seen in ASD individuals
  • Explain sensory, communication, social challenges and/or barriers individuals with Autism can experience in daily life as a result of their processing differences
  • Describe strategies and tools that can help the individual with Autism in daily life activities

Presenter: Kim Clairy, MOT, OTR/L, Autism Advocate, ED Survivor, Educational Speaker

Kim Clairy, licensed Occupational Therapist, has unique expertise in understanding the intersection of Eating Disorders, Sensory Processing Dysfunction, and Autism. Diagnosed with all three, she struggled under a healthcare system uneducated on autism. Now in recovery, she shares her expertise by educating others through didactic and experiential seminars/trainings nationwide.
