A totally unique opportunity to learn about the STAR PROCESS – a treatment model for Sensory Processing Disorder. Come and learn about specific treatment for children with sensory issues that is guided by the specific subtype of Sensory Processing Disorder the child manifests.

Speaker
Virginia Spielmann
Associate Director, STAR Institute
Virginia is a well-travelled speaker, coach and educator on topics including sensory integration, DIR/FloortimeTM, child development and infant mental health. She has conducted trainings in Kenya, Australia, the Philippines, Vietnam, Hong Kong, and the USA and leads workshops at international conferences.
Virginia is a founder and former Clinical Director of SPOT (Speech, Physical, and Occupational Therapy) Interdisciplinary Children's Therapy Center in Hong Kong, where she led a large and widely respected inter-disciplinary team.
Virginia obtained her BSc in Occupational Therapy in Oxford England (2002), and is a registered Occupational Therapist in Hong Kong. She is part of the Interdisciplinary Council for Development and Learning (ICDL) and has earned a position as a Training Leader and Expert DIR/Floortime provider and parent coach. Her extensive pediatric experience includes children on the autism spectrum, as well as those with Sensory Processing Disorder, infant mental health issues, children from adopted families and those who have experienced developmental trauma.
Virginia has considerable post-graduate training, she is certified on the SIPT and is currently completing her Ph.D. in Infant and Early Childhood Development with an emphasis on mental health, with Fielding Graduate University, in Santa Barbara.

Cancellation Policy
Cancellations received by November 17, 2017 may receive a full refund.
Cancellations must be received in writing no later than November 17, 2017 to receive a refund minus $50 processing fee. No refunds will be issued for cancellations received after November 17, 2017.
After November 17, 2017, registrations may be substituted or deferred to a future STAR Institute program. Staff must be notified of substitutions at least 24 hours before the start of the event. Registrations cancelled due to a family emergency, other unexpected event or illness will be deferred to a future STAR Institute program or online course(s).
STAR Institute for Sensory Processing Disorder is an AOTA Approved Provider of Continuing Education. The assignment of AOTA CEUs does not imply endorsement of specific course content, products, or clinical procedures by AOTA.
AOTA continuing education credit awarded: 10 hours (1.0 CEUs)
