Assessment Training: Goal Oriented Assessment of Lifeskills (GOAL)

Time: 10:00am-5:30pm Mountain Time

Summary:
Occupational therapists are regularly faced with the challenge of finding functionally relevant, developmentally appropriate standardized testing, especially for adolescents. That's where the Goal Oriented Assessment of Lifeskills (GOAL) comes in. The GOAL is an innovative evaluation of functional motor abilities needed for daily living in children/youth ages 7-17 years. Developed by Dr. Lucy Jane Miller, the assessment includes Intervention Targets that help you turn the assessment results into a specific, goal-oriented treatment plan. This 1-day, special event workshop provides step-by-step instruction for administration and scoring, and how to use the test identify specific sensory processing information regarding your client.

Who should attend:

Anyone with a master’s degree (MA, MS, MSW, CAGS) in psychology, school counseling, occupational therapy, speech language pathology, social work, education, special education, or a related field.
